Scott Scale 950 or Giant XTC Composite 29er 3??

Hi - looking for advice please. I'm at the point of putting my money on the table for a 29er. I have demoed some and have decided that they suit the riding I do particularly well. I have been primarily looking at the Scott Scale 950 and the Giant XTC composite 3. I can get both for about the same price. The question is which way to go - composite frame with lower specced forks and components, or alloy frame with better forks and components. I'm torn.... any opinions/advice appreciated!!!!

    Hi, what did you end up doing?

    I'm having the same issue.

    Same budget, well max £1500, through our cycle scheme.

    Not sure whether to go for higher end components on the Scott or the frame on the Giant. Locally to me though the Giant is £150 more.
