Was was going to go with the 8.1 until someone added the below.

Spec wise I am totally lost which is the better bike or maybe there is something else. I know the 8.1 has been the go to bike at the £500 mark.

You thoughts would be a great help thank you.

Rockrider looks the best to me out of those 3.

RR has the best forks, the Fuji edges it in the drivetrain department, the Hoodoo has a fork in between the others but can't compete on drivetrain.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • So would be more case of between the RR and the Fuji?

I would say I am a dummy when it comes to bikes so out of the two which would be best suited to my needs of just riding along toe paths?

Shame the Fuji is the 2012 model would have been a good with the £50 towards clothing and such.

If it's just tow paths, either will cope fine, but you don't need suspension at all and something like the Voodoo Marasa from Halfords would probably work best for you.

  • I would not mind doing courses my problem is I am visually impaired so I have no means of transport to said places and unable to ride on the roads. So think I would be better of with something with suspension.

Seen the above bike at Halfords with £60 and been pointed out on hotukdeals that can also get 10% off if join British Cycling. How quick could I get the discount if i joined?

I dont know if to now go for this or stick with the Rockrider 8.1 which one would you go for guys?
