This thread is going to drive me to distraction. I have just parted with 2k and had my heart set on a Giant at the time but changed it last minute to a Ribble. Ill be watching this one closely.

    Here is mine.

The only significant changes I've made were to swap the RS80 wheels for some Fulcrum Racing Zeros, and to try some garish bar tape!

    Cubic,

I have said it before, stunning bike, love the wheels but a big no on the bar tape.

    White would look good

Yeah, I bought it in a moment of madness, thinking it would look awesome! I'm not so sure now, although sometimes, when the light is just right, I do think it looks quite cool. I'll probably get something more sensible soon.

It doesn't match my kit anyway....

What does the bike ride like with the stock wheels and tyres? Is the geomotry aggressive ? I'm half tempted by one of these myself

I have since removed the dork disc and added some white Look Keo 2 Max pedals which look epic, like they were made for this bike.

Notlongnow- Yes its still quite aggressive. I found it pretty fast and handled pretty well just a few of the standards components are on the heavy side. Get one you won't be disappointed.

Elderone- I had them made from a local wheel builder near me. http://www.velo-smith.com/ here is his website. They will save you about 500grams and your average will fly up :)

I really like this Bike, kind of wish i'd have blown the budget and gone for this, it feels so much lighter than mine.

Anyway on my budget I ended up with the cheaper alternative:

    Update on a modification,
A lovely new set of Mavic Ksyrium Elites that I'm over the moon with. The weight difference between the OE Giants wheels is astonoshing to say the least! Thanks to my LBS http://www.spiralcycles.com/ for swapping these over at short notice.
Just awaiting delivery on my Ultegra chainset to turn up now followed by rear derallieur, front mec and cassette.
    Happy day's!

Nice! These wheels and an ultegra chainset will transform the look and should make a difference to the ride.
One step at a time though, Changing derailleurs just yet is a touch hasty.

Thanks mate, chainsets just arrived by post and bike is in LBS for fitment as we speak! Yeah, think your right about derailleurs and may well wait! Just the seat as a priority but have no idea what to go for as yet..

Saddles are a personal thing and can be hit and miss regarding comfort. So i started cheapish and went for madison prime and found it comfortable enough so stuck with it. Wouldnt pay a lot unless you can trial it before paying.
    Looking forward to your updates.

I have a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio on my TCR and it looks amazing. Really light and comfort is amazing considering there isnt much padding. 2 hours on the turbo with minimal sore butt.
