Maxxis Ardent 2.25 tyres which come as standard on the Voodoo Hoodoo, not sure if that will be the case with the 2013/14 version

My Voodoo Bizango 29er, stock except Charge spoon saddle and Oury lock-on grips. My first 29er and I'm loving it! Previous Voodoo's include a steel Wanga and a Bokor.

Hi, my first post just bought a 2nd hand unused Bantu well impressed especially compared to my old bike. Using the £60 i got from my old bike only had to splash out £140 for it.I'd show a picture if i knew how to,can't seem to find how to add an image on here.(well i am 46). 8751245572_db55e5533d_b.jpg

Here's my Bantu, paint was getting pretty scratched up, and I've always wanted a raw bike, so stripped and polished it :D
Also been upgraded a fair bit, new chainset, 36, 26 (outer ring removed), new bars, grips, saddle, front and rear mechs and cheap wire bead mountain kings, also fitted superstar brake pads and Hope QR seat clamp

Pics of my Bantu. Had it for about 9 months now. Changed a few parts since I've had it:

    Easton EA50 oversized bars
    Superstar lock on grips
    Easton EA50 seatpost
    Superstar seatpost bolt
    Continental X King tyres
    Charge spoon saddle

Rest is all stock parts. May look to upgrade the brakes at some point (and give mine to the wife) but for now, just enjoying it

I didn't get on with the standard tyres, I had the CST ones on mine, no grip on the chalky trails around here, the mountain kings are better, and lighter, only £30 a pair as well, will be changing them eventually to some Specialized Purgatory controls when I get the cash.

What do you think of the On One Smorgasbords? I've been thinking of trying a pair.

They seem good, They feel quite like my Conti Rubber Queens. They roll well on the road. They didn't clog up too bad in boggy/sticky mud conditions and they cleared the mud well too.

Thinking of getting a Chunky Monkey aswell for the front for wet conditions.

    Definitely worth a buy!

Changes since I bought the bike are as follows.

M520 SPD pedals. Not long ago upgraded to XT front and rear derailleurs, shifters and cassette. KMC X9 SL gold chain. Answer Pro taper AM 720mm bars, KCNC Bear Arm 70mm stem, Race Face Evolve seatpost. Charge Spoon saddle. Race Face Evolve XC crankset with Superstar Radar chainrings. DT Swiss AM1900 wheelset with On-One Smorgasbord tyres. 180mm Hope rotors front and rear with Shimano M596 brakes. On-one full bob grips. Various KCNC bolts, valve caps, top cap, seatpost clamp etc.

So basically everything is new apart from frame and fork lol.

Cheers. On the one hand I think they must be worth a try at that price, but on the other the price seems too good to be true. Tarmac performance isn't an issue, I only ride of road.

You can find a fair few well regarded tyres at good prices these days, Conti mountain king 2s and rubber queens on Ribblecycles for about £16 each folding if I remember correctly?

After a few rides I'd say they're worth it! Give them a try.
