Which of these 3 Hardtails?

Hi all
I've had my 1997 Kona Firemountain for 15 year and love it to bits, although I think it's time to retire her. I'm looking to replace it with one of the following, can you give your opinions on which is best suited to trail riding.
(I used to know this stuff 15 years ago, but I haven't read a mtb magazine in well over 10 years and its all changed quite a bit since then).

2011 Cannondale Trail SL 2 - £549

Or

2012/13 Boardman MTB Comp - £590 (with web discount)

Or perhaps you may know of a better bike for the money.
