Please sign the e-petition on the 10 Downing Street website asking for David Cameron to commit to the Get Britain Cycling report's recommendations:

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/49196

The "Get Britain Cycling" report has been published today. The summary of the recommendations is available here (PDF):

http://www.ctc.org.uk/sites/default/fil ... ycling.pdf

The headline recommendations from the report are:
  • aim for 10% of trips by bike by 2025 and 25% by 2050, and
  • £10 per person, per year in funding for cycling

There's also a nice article by Chris Boardman in the Times today
The way we travel now is killing us. We're the fattest people in Western Europe

Thanks for posting this. I've signed, and posted on Facebook to encourage others to do so. No doubt I'll get loads of grief from FB 'friends' about 'bloody cyclists' jumping red lights etc...

Mine know better than to get me started :D

The report was mentioned at PMQs today and Cameron made some vague but positive noises about it without actually committing to anything.
