Tiagra 4500/4600 9/10 speed compatibility
Hi,
I have the old 9 speed tiagra and am in the process of replacing my drivetrain as its worn.
Figured I might as well get a whole new chainset as its scratched to hell and only slightly more £s than replacing just the rings.
Will the new 4600 10 speed chainset be ok with my 9 speed cassette, chain etc?
Thanks for your help!
Chris

you can use a 10-speed chainset with the rest still 9-speed
you may get a bit of chain rub when on the small ring, using a 10-speed chain will fix that (also run perfectly well on the cassette and rear mech)my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Great, thanks for your help!0
