Looking to go up from South Wales on 29/30th June for the British Downhill Series. Anybody stayed anywhere round these areas. Looking to be near Llandegla to ride there and close to Llangollen for the BDS.

Cheers

  • You have to check out the Bell Ringers Cottage in Llandegla itself. Best small holiday cottage we've stayed in, just google it and check out the Trip Advisor ratings. Our review is the first one on TA and we stayed there when we cycled the Etape Cymru.

Settled on this little place, should do us fine.

Bike storage, wash etc. Self catering facilities. And owners will arrange lifts to the nearest pub for a few quid. Landed :-)

Cae Gwyn is a long way away - it's by Coed y Brenin not Llandegla..!

Try Llangollen hostel- stayed there and they have a shed where you can lock up your bike.

Llangollen Hostel was full. We're riding CYB on one day and Llandegla the next so we had to travel to one so this is fine for us.
