Nothing to see here. Move along. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
A great champion.
If its true, seems like a good time to retire, as it allows the new wave of sprinters a good run up at the Commonwealth games, and then Rio. If he'd have hung around till Glasgow, perhaps others would have missed out on extra experience and development that would have helped them for Rio.
Agreed, there's something epic and gladiatorial about when he pours it on around the final bend, holding off everyone else0 -
Who gives a fig where the money came from?
He is a tremendous athlete and an inspiration.
And those thighs.....'kin 'ell!0 -
I think you'd struggle to find a track athlete who makes their living exclusively from their winnings and endorsements."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Love this article on Hoy. Mostly because they quote Cav and then put a picture of Andy Murray on the page.

Great stuff from Cav, mind. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

If he pays it all back, then I'll say he was good at pedalling 250 metres ...
You are clearly an exceptionally bitter individual. Has life really left you this shortchanged?
Your statement borders on the mutterings of an imbecile. To say that you have some sort of grudge or agenda with regards to Chris Hoy, British Cycling or paying tax - is perhaps an understatement.
Chris Hoy doesn't need his lifetimes achivements qualified by prat like you, with a poxy asterix - stating "note - accomplished via funding from BC".0 -

Play nice now boys. It's not like this is an LA thread.0 -
Andy Murray, Lizzie Armistead, Laura Trott, Cav and Boardman pay tribute to Chris Hoy - generously and deservedly

SOme classic Shane Sutton half way down too“We’re going with Jason [Kenny] in the sprint and the way things stand right now we’ll put him in the keirin, too. Because you’re going sh*t. And your head’s in the bucket.”"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
