avid juicy brakes, alternative??

I currently have avid juicy 4 on my spesh. xc pro. I'm a bit cheesed off with them as they deem to take loads of faffing about to get them working right. I've been looking about but where do my current brakes stand in terms of power etc in the shimano, Hayes etc range? ie what would be a similar alternative? cheers chris

I put XTs on my XC Pro and never looked back. I used to be an Avid brake fan but have now converted to Shimano ever since fitting them.0
