my new wilier cento sr update

just collected my new bike ,not sure what its like to ride as yet as i recently incurred a knee injury whilst bike was on order ,so having a small spell off the bike :( ,but got a set of cosmics coming this week shod with conti grand prix s :D so im reckoning it,ll be worth the wait .did look at the 2012 cento and took the gamble on the new bike without laying eyes on it as it was order only but now its here im blown away with the look and quality of it

    cheers guys , hopefully shall be taking it out inside 10 days as im doing tons of physio at minute which seems to be working

    That's a horrible bike. You wouldn't catch me near one.

    Don't discount the quattros straight away though. They are a decent winter wheel. Mine have taken some massive hits since December and they are still straight and true.

    Joking aside, you will love the bike. So stiff and fast.

    to be fair the fulcrums look and from what ive read ,are a brill wheel and the cosmics are,nt a deal lighter but the wife,s sort of got here eye on the fulcrums for her bike so its a bloody good excuse to splash out on the mavics, they look kind of nice to

    They look great in the flesh, I'm considering getting the yellow fluo frameset.
    Still trying to convince the missus of the n+1 rule...!

    You won't go far wrong.

    Worth having a look on eBay too, there is a red/black large frame going for £1k.

    @slowandsteady ,just curious to what frame size is that and whats your height/inseam meas as that looks quite a large seat to bar drop.

    It's a large frame.

    I think my inseam is 85.5cm from memory and 186cm tall or 6"1 in old money.

    The drop isn't really that much, I think the camera angle has distorted it a bit as its a shallow drop. The think the bottom of the bar more or less runs in line with the top tube of the frame.

    I'll measure how much I cut off the seat post tomorrow. I think it would be about 4cm at most.

    Same wheels and tyres as carl1081.

    The are fulcrum quattros with Michelan lithion2. Stock affairs.

    Both seem bomb proof but upgradable.

    Slowandsteady, I like the fluo yellow, but the eye is drawn to the red/white decals on the stem and cranks....they'd be better off plain black IMHO......lovely bike though....I think either a Cento Uno or a Gran Turismo is my next bike.. :D

    I know, I've been looking at a deda superleggero stem today but can't find them in stock at a decent price anywhere. Or could go for a ritchey stem to match the seat topper but I'm not convinced by them.

    The cranks will get changed as and when they wear out. Or maybe when I get my tax rebate.
