Picked up last week my new 2012 TCR 3. This is my first road bike and am over the moon with it! Only managed two 12 mile rides this week but really looking forward to getting a few miles under my belt. A few mods planned

Looks like that frame is way too big for you...

I have no idea what's going on here.

I've just fitted a Cateye rear light and not raised the saddle declan. I'm due a fitting at Spiral Cylcles next week and they measured me up for this size previously ..

Ah right that's cool - the saddle is really low and a long way forward. You should notice a rather large improvement after the fitting.

Also, make sure you get some clipless pedals. Not just for the added power and efficiency, but for the fact that on flats your feet can move around and you'll end up with knee problems and reduced power output.

BTW the bike looks awesome ;)

Hey Van, is this the bike you were having second thoughts about the colour, or am I thinking of someone else? That looks really good, glad you're pleased with it. Enjoy :)

  • Hi Newbie here,
Just got back into cycling after 20 years off!. Have a 30year old British eagle 531tubing Ridge Hybrid. Just bought a Specialised Hard rock sport which I use for mild off road with my youngest son. Really enjoying it and want a Defy advanced 2 road bike. Training at the moment as doing a 60 mile ride for charity in 3 weeks.
