Head Tube concerns...

Hi all, this is what I ride at the moment in a Medium...a Ribble New Sportive which I hiope is what is linked as it won't let me upload the attachment.

The bike I want to buy is this, the Cannondale Supersix 105 2013 with the following geometry. I kn ow from trying the 56 that the 54 suits me best but what concerns me most is the difference in the head tube. The Ribble above is 173.9 mm
and the Cannondale is 140mm.

Now, what I'm wondering is whether there is any other angle or dimension that mitigates or worsens this difference between the size of the two head tubes as this would appear to be a significant drop.

No other dimension will mitigate the 34mm difference, tbh. You just need to work out if you can cope with the lower position, or if you can make it up with spacers if needs be..0

How many cm of spacers are there on your Ribble, including the top of the headset? Could be room for some compromise here.0
