Has anyone heard of Roto or used this kit? It looks a bit like the Aldi toolkit to be honest.

    Does look very like the ones they sell in Aldi and Lidl. Not to mention Halfords, Amazon, eBay, etc...

    Undercover, it does look on the cheap side. The injection moulded grey case is usually a give away...

    Even though I can't see it, from what the descriptions I know the type of kit. Some are better than others, but they are reasonable for a hobbiest but no good for a pro.

    My £30 Halfords kit enables me to strip a bike and rebuild it. I'm talking strip everything off the frame (headset off, BB removed, cassette off, chainset off etc).
    Specialist, big name, tools may (will) be better, but these kits will probably do the job and you can upgrade to better tools in a piecemeal fashion rather than forking out for everything at once.

    Also, the case is handy for keeping everything together.

    Have to say that for a basic hobbyist kit that one is probably going to do everything you need nicely (looking at it through the annoying signin thing). I got a similar kit from CRC ages ago and the tool quality is more than fine for fettling/home use. If I was using them professionally then sure it might be worth spending more on Park tools but the cost will be much higher!

    They are decent kits - but £53.40 for it is ridiculous, never mind the original £100 they were touting it at!

    Agree that the £53.40 price is a rip off (couldn't see it through the filter page) but for £8 you'd be daft not to take it!

    I have the same, but the Icetools one from CRC which I picked up for 35 from CRC, which is blue.

    Only lacking oversize allen keys (10mm for shimano freehubs or 14mm for Campy Crank arms)
