    Wow!

    That looks absurdly fast.

I bet you check the weather report for wind direction though...

I have several wheel options to suit different wind conditions... if that's what you mean!

Not just the wheels. The frame is doing a decent spinnaker impression.

    A very purposeful looking bike.

I want to say something horrible based purely on jealousy but I can't, it's lovely. The whole thing just looks fast even when static

Oddly enough, they claim it is THE most aero front brake! Designed specifically to work with this frame. Probably partly due to it sitting completely within the width of the head tube and the edge of the caliper split the wind.

I'm positive that Cervelo wouldn't spend years developing a super-slippery TT bike just to anchor it down with a slow front brake.

(Not mine, but you can see head-on how the brake sits: http://velonews.competitor.com/files/20 ... 33x421.jpg)

 If Batman was a TT specialist, he'd ride this. Very nice. One question though....

When you are riding it, do people say: "Too much machine, not enough man"?

I think it was in jest, in relation to Pokerface's previous TT bike thread.

    Yes, indeed it was:

One of the funniest things I've ever read on this forum. Epic fail from Berk Bonebonce.

I was waiting for someone to come along with the relevant (performance) comment. No worries - not offended!

I'm still dialling in my position and making tweaks to a few things but it's almost there now. Rode a TT on it 2 weeks ago and managed 11th out of 85 riders. Going to try again this weekend but this time with faster wheels. Hoping to crack the top-10.

How long did it take to get the Berner cage di2 mech done?

A few weeks. I had to wait a bit because Fabian had ordered several and his order came first.

Have to say I was & am not a big fan of the P5 frame as think it doesn't look 'pretty' compared to some of the previous designs. However this one does look very good indeed, really like the wheels & looks super fast even standing still.

How do the brakes feel compared to the standard DA ones, or are they similar in feel when in operation?

I will readily admit that when the bike first came out, I thought it was hideous. Not my thing at all. And I LIKE TT bikes!

Pictures don't do it justice at all. In person, it's much nicer. And that's saying a lot.

However, at the end of the day I got it to go fast so I don;t particularly care how fugly it looks. If it gets me to the finish line faster - that's all that matters.

Re: the brakes... they modulate better than standard calipers. Less likely to lock up, but can stop you sharpish enough when needed. Mostly they are lighter than standard callipers. And more aero.

Cheers go to know from someone with firsthand experience. Maybe an option on a new bike is all & was thought I'd ask.

Knowing your reputation I think the bike will be fast however it looks but the P5 seems like a pretty well sorted bike for speed in terms of design which is as you said the main function of it.

I don't know what to make of it. A superb bike, no doubt, but looks like something that belongs in year 2050

Cervelo really have came up with some incredible designs and is probably why they are a growing favourite nowadays.

That bike is lovely! Definitely not jealous!

This bike would have benefitted greatly from a better paint job. Even basic black.

Cervelo really dropped the ball a little when they were sold and started going with these ridiculous paint schemes.
