Fark me where do people find cheap old road bike or frames? I want something i could bring back to life with some tlc
seems we've been getting thieving chavs to build them up and ship them off to charities overseas, while i can understand it keeps chavs from getting my boot lodged up their arse keeping them busy but surely we should be able to buy an old frame that hasn't been touched by morons from somewhere

I see scrap vans manage to find them all the fooken time, want to just say "heres 20squids jus dont weigh in that rusty old frame"

Have a look down your local council tip/recycling place, probably loads there. Our council has a place set aside where they sell usable stuff people are throwing out, everything from bikes, tv's, furniture etc etc

Look on eBay? I picked up a 1991 steel framed top end mountain bike the other day, pretty much pristine condition, had been a £400 bike back in the day - paid £25!

Ebay requires patience, the best bargains are the poorly listed ones and to find them you have to be prepared to wade through the rubbish, a mate just picked up a near immaculate mid 1980's Peugeot, pencil seats stays, original 10 speed running gear, £85...some people pay more than that for a well listed frame!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

my original bike I bought new many years ago. Does need a little spruce up as it has spent years in the back garden! Rode it last year before I got my TDF. It works perfectly, but I would say it would need new tyres to be on the safe side. Gear change makes my 2300 setup feel pathetic.
