Bike tool rental company after feedback

Afternoon Everyone,

I'm in the early stages of setting up a Bike tool rental company and was after some feedback as to whether there was a market out there for it.

The general idea is to provide kits for the standard jobs with everything you need to get the job done from start to finish.

Any feedback would be appreciated or fill in the questionnaire we've set up (linked below) it's only 7 questions..honest.

    Done.

    But only tools I'd consider hiring would be a tap/helicoil setup, various facing tools, top end wheel jig.

    Tools you use so infrequently and are very expensive making hire a good plan.

    done but might skew the results.

    only one tool I would rent but would take cookies to the LBS first.

    Done, but equally will skew the results :)

    Personally I'm not sure how well this will go, most common tools are cheap enough to buy and you don't want to lend out the ones that arent (bearing pullers, headset presses, tapping and facing tools)

    Filled the form in.

    Only a couple thing I don't have tools for things like fitting a headset etc. but then I'm not sure I'd know how to use it correctly and be worried I would damage the frame. would rather pay the reasonable amount to get a shop to fit it for me.

    Not sure myself if people would prefer to rent/buy tools but I do like the idea as sometimes its cheaper/easier to get a LBS to do some of the work to save buying a specific tool you might not use again (hopefully).

    Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

    Done it but I wouldnt be a customer for the simple reason the only thing I cant do is face a bottom bracket and I never bother getting it done anyway.

    With the price of specialist tools so cheap these days ie a headset remover for about £10 and a HT2 BB tool for about £7 I cant see where the margin is.
