Going to be upgrading the wheels on the Synapse soon, they are Formula Rb-51 hubs fitted with Maddux Rs 3.0, 32 Hole rims & 15swg ss spoke.

Looking, typically, to spend as little as possible to upgrade the wheels to something a little lighter.

Any suggestions up to about £250

If you don't get much success with this thread, scroll down the pages and have a look at other threads... a wheelset for 200-300 pounds is probably the most common topic

As entry level in light wheels, they are not bad... Bearings wear rapidly, but replacements are cheap... If you are in a bit of DIY, they might serve you well for quite some time. If you hate servicing your bike, get something with a bit more solid engineering...
Don't expect your LBS or Planet X to change the bearings for you, most would not know where to start

Slightly more money as pictured (Novatech hubs and DT Swiss competition spokes) but very nice ride.
