Going to be upgrading the wheels on the Synapse soon, they are Formula Rb-51 hubs fitted with Maddux Rs 3.0, 32 Hole rims & 15swg ss spoke.
Looking, typically, to spend as little as possible to upgrade the wheels to something a little lighter.
Any suggestions up to about £250

If you don't get much success with this thread, scroll down the pages and have a look at other threads... a wheelset for 200-300 pounds is probably the most common topicleft the forum March 20230

THEY DO LOOK QUITE TEMPTING.
As entry level in light wheels, they are not bad... Bearings wear rapidly, but replacements are cheap... If you are in a bit of DIY, they might serve you well for quite some time. If you hate servicing your bike, get something with a bit more solid engineering...
Don't expect your LBS or Planet X to change the bearings for you, most would not know where to startleft the forum March 20230 -
Some of these.
Slightly more money as pictured (Novatech hubs and DT Swiss competition spokes) but very nice ride.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
