When set to imperial measurements when it reads for example 16.09 lbs does that mean 16 pounds 9 ounces or is the .09 a decimal proportion of a pound? (i.e. 0.09x16ozs)

many thanks

RTFM  I'd guess it means 0.09lbs
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Weigh a pint of water. If it's decimal pounds it will say 1.25, if it's pounds and ounces it will say 1.04

    Or weigh everything in grams

Or, as has been suggested already, RTFM

No "FM" for me to "R". I used the scales in an LBS. Park Tools website not much help. My 16.09 lbs bike weighs just over 16.5 lbs, i.e., 16lb 9ozs. As the two bikes I weighed came in at 16.09 and 17.02 I thought it was lbs and ozs. Looking more closely at the display there is a small "ozs" on the display. I will not be buying my own at almost £60. I bought a cheap digital suitcase scale, £3.99 including delivery, a bit more fiddly, but identical accuracy.
