I'm up near Reading in the next couple of weeks for a weekend and was hoping to find some nice trails. Any idea where so I dont get lost?

Park at Streatley and climb up to the Ridgeway via the Golf club road. Lunch at West,East Illsley or Upton. There are many paths and tracks around that area. Or Park at Pangbourne and take the Thames path to Wallingford and beyond and back. It doesn't get flooded on the north side and is slightly complex to follow. You'll need to miss a section out at South Stoke because of a 6' high style.

However if you train like a cart horse you'll race like one.

Head up to Christmas Common. Park near the Fox pub and follow the track on the opposite side of the road. It is nearly 2 miles of DH singletrack that runs down to Pishill. From there, short road. climb to Britwell Hill. Take bridleway down to ridgeway and go towards Wallingford or Watlington. A good days riding with plenty of places to come off for lunch etc. Enjoy.
