So Here's my Scott Addict, basically swapped off the old 105 5600 set up out, and replaced it myself with full 105 5700 ( the 5600 stuff went on the Spesh Allez I sold) - Please be gentle.

It had just come off a ride so not as clean as usual:

Spec List as follows:

Frame & fork: Addict R3 (2008/9 I think)
Wheels: New Mavic Cosmic Elites
Skewers: Planet X Carbon Ti (unfortunately red, but a birthday present for the spesh off the kids)
Inner Tubes: Specialized Turbo
Tyres: Schwabe Ultremo ZX HD white
Shifters: Shimano 105 5700 Black
Gear & Brake Cabling: Jagwire Racer (White)
Front Mech: Shimano Ultegra 6700 Grey
Rear Mech: Shimano 105 5700 Black
Bars: Scott Atomic Drop (Soon to be changed for Ritchey WCS Carbon)
Stem: Scott Comp (Purchased a Ritchey WCS 4 axis in wet white off another member, soon to be added)
Seat Post: Ritchey Cabon Superlogic (it's been sprayed white)
Cassette: Shimano 105 5700 11-28
Crankset: Shimano 105 5700 Compact 50/34
Chain: KMC X10
Pedals: Shimano SPD (Soon to be replaced by speedplays)
Water Cage: Scott Carbon
Saddle: Prologo Kappa (Soon to be replaced by a better Prologo)
Bar Tape: Prologe one touch gel, black with white writing
Computer: Mavic E-Bolt, Cadence Speed etc.

By my calculations it weights in at 7.95kg with everything fitted, I have my eye on a Dura ace upgrade (just for the hell of it) too and maybe some nice carbon wheels in the summer months.

Hope you like it,
Mark

Nice - wasn't sure about the ALL black and white at first (being a Mackem of course), but the more I look at it the more it is growing on me.

Ha, I know what you mean, (my farther in law is a Sunderland fan and said the same too) probably wouldn't be my first choice but got an excellent deal, it looks much better in the flesh though to be honest.

  • Another mackem here, the colour's growing on me as well. I'm thinking of getting some of that bar tape but with green lettering for my CR1. Nice bike, I like those Addicts.
  • That is one very nice bike, it even looks fast when it is standing still!!
  • Thanks for all your comments, I love it, I took it out on a very windy day recently and pushed against the head wind on the last 6 miles and still ended up with a decent average.
