Outside parking and bike preservation

Sadly my workplace has just decided to rescind an agreement to keep our bikes inside and have now commanded that we park them outside in the racks provided.

I work 6 days a week and my hours can be long, so my bike will be spending a lot of time exposed to the elements.

Other than cleaning and oiling the drive train a bit more frequently, any other tips? I've got chrome finishing kit and I'd rather it not end up tarnished and rusted.

I'll also need to fork out for a decent anchor now as well so any recommendations welcome.
Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.

Get a waterproof bike cover that you can throw over it, with a drawstring to keep it tight.

Other than that, keep the chrome done with something like GT85?
  • Actually you've just reminded me I've got an old Rutlands bike cover in the garage - ta!
