Not necessarily the most expensive but one you had that had character.

I drove a maxi once - wipers wouldnt work, and the there was a real knack to using the choke (remember them) - the window had to be kept up with a peg.

Whats yours.

Triumph Spitfire. Great fun, even though it leaked when it rained and the heater wouldnt turn off.

had a lotus elise s1 as an only car for two years & 60k miles and loved it, you couldn't lock it when it was cold as the lock would freeze.

I can pretty much guarantee that the Aston would be faster than the Lambo on UK roads ;)

Agree 100% - have had shed loads of stuff since, friends have Evos and the such like but there is no way you can beat hoooooooning round in a Mk1. Sooo much fun and sooo not serious like and Evo etc. Still stupidly good looking as well.

Also had a Civic 1.6 VTI - the 165 brake job, revved to 8,000 or something silly: went waaaaaahhhh everywhere and you drove it like a fool all the time but I still managed to fit a kitchen in the boot and half a gaden wall, Brilliant car until TDV smashed it up. Twice. Fantastic for hooning down through France in with a boot full of wine, cheese and salami on the way to the yacht.

For some reason I really quite fancy an XR2 for a bit of old skool hooning........ Or a Pug 1.9 GTi. Now that would be cool. If you want something sensible buy an anorak ......

Not a chance. Not even close, Not in the same league.
The aston is a thing of beauty, the lambo is a thing of brute power.

Saw an old school xr2i on the road the other day. I pulled my motor alongside to give the driver a nod of appreciation, turns out to be an old woman driving it.
I've got a Renault Clio sport 52 plate. I love it, still makes me smile when i give it a boot full.

if it has to be one I have owned, can't decide between Carlton GSI 24v or my current V6 4x4 Superb Estate.

If any car, locale would make a difference, but as it is 'dream car' the dream still has 2 in it, and is being able to live 'full time' in the Pyrenees with Citroen DS and a 911 of some sort on the drive, a wide selection of road bikes from Campag equiped C59 disc, and a Di2 Venge, through to my old 531 with various benchmark bikes in between, hanging from the wall in the garage for me and any visitors to play with. ah daydreaming now......just going to cruise down the hill to the village cafe for some coffee and pastry in my lady friend's white 230 Pagoda as she has just stepped dripping from her morning swim in the pool........

From the ones that I have owned - Toyota MR2 MK1.

From the dream cars - Too many to choose from, none of which I know if they would be any good in the real world on normal roads.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

My old Alfa GT Cloverleaf - Badly made, nuts and bolts falling off everywhere and awkward but made me smile every time I looked at it.

    Would love an Integrale
