Picked this up this week, haven't even had a chance to ride it yet!

Frame: Alloy SL Hydroformed / OST 140mm, 42cm/Small
Rear Shock: Fox Float R
Fork: Fox 32FRL Open Bath 140mm
Front Derailleur: Shimano SLX
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT
Shifters: Shimano Deore
Cranks: Shimano SLX (22/32/Sunline Bash)
Pedals: Exotic Alloy Flat
Brakes: Formula RX 180/180
Handlebars: Sunline V-One 711mm
Grips: Giant Sole-Oh
Stem: Thomson Elite X4 70mm
Wheels: Mavic CrossRide Disc
Front Tyre: Maxxis High Roller 2.5 60a Dual Ply
Rear Tyre: Kenda Nevegal DTC 2.35
Saddle: Charge Spoon
Seat post: Reverb 125mm x 420mm
Weight: 31.2lb

The bike came with a Thomson Elite post but it had been cut too short which gave me a decent excuse to get a Reverb. Plans are to swap out the Deore shifters for some with removable windows and get some lighter tyres, this pair weigh a ton! Might even swap out the bash for an e13 in black if I find one for the right price.

  • Looks mint! Great bikes. I bought a 2013 514 last December and couldn`t be happier. Fantastic suspension platform - makes my old 09 Stumpy FSR feel like a hardtail :D

And yes, those High Rollers do weigh a ton but probably won`t pinch flat like the Rocket Ron/Nobby Nic combo I have on mine :(

    Enjoy!!

  • Picked it up for £900 minus the pedals and Reverb, then swapped the grips and seat over from my old bike. Hoping to get out on it tomorrow for a blast, I've got high expectations!
  • Minor update, swapped out the Deore shifters for some SLX numbers so I could run the brakes further inboard. Also swapped the Reverb remote over to the left hand side of the bars, feels much better this way.

Next job on the list is to sell the Thomson and get a shorter stem, think a Funn Funnduro is going to be the likely choice.
