hi i am building a road bike for commuting with a nexus gear hub. I will be getting a bar end shifter for the nexus so just need a set of levers. The bike is a workhorse so no lightweight italian levers needed here. can anyone recommned any. i have seen these and they look ok.

Tektro have QRs built into the lever

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

does this relate to the cable removalmor the actual lever?

Cane Creek ones are nice - hood is broader than Shimano ones so more comfortable - they are however dressed-up Tektro levers so only worth the money if discounted. Cable release is a push-button like Campagnolo, when pushed-over it allows the lever to pivot further into the body
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
