which bike for under a grand?

Im swaping for xc racing into road racing, im not going to do high mileage, just short sharp 30-40 miles and id like
to do some time trialing, after my wife giving birth im on a tight budget, looking at 800-1000, i like the giant tcr 3 and mekk poggio p2.0 that wiggle do, what other bikes would other people suggest for what i want?

The mekk looks a bargain, all the reviews i have seen of it look good, the wiggle reviews look especially good. Wiggle provide a "30 day" returns policy I think, so definitely worth considering - a rarity on the roads - mostly due to it being a new brand.0
