Can I use Sram Rival 10spd Shifters with Shimano Front Mechs

Putting together my Pinarello FP 2 & using my Sram Rival groupset from a previous bike. I am changing the chainset to a Shimano 105 5650 Compact which I know will work fine with the Sram shifters & rear mech but I need to change the front mech as my original Sram is damaged.
Been looking about and general concensus is that Shimano front mechs tend to work better so was thinking of pairing my 105 compact chainset with an Ultegra 6700 Front Mech and Sram Rival Shifters (keeping the Rival Rear Mech, cassette & chain).
Does anybody know if this will cause any issues or am I better off pairing the Sram Shifters with a Sram Front Mech?

It'll be fine, the pull ratio it the same for the front mech0

Yes, it's fine. Take your time setting it up and it'll work great. Make sure the limit screws are carefully set.
I've got a Sram shifting an ancient Campy front derailleur without an issue.When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -
Cheers - have made the plunge & gone with a 6700 Ultegra FD0
