hi, i am new to this site, was looking for a little help please, i have a carrera vegenance ultimate mountain bike, i was loking to replace the crankset which is a shimano f cm 431 (square taper) with the same or a similiar one, so far been unable to find a replacement and not sure what other ones will be compatabile with my bike.

Be aware that you will almost definitely need a new chain though. And a new rear cog set ;-)0 -
hi , thanks, have just fitted a new chain which was the start of my problems with it jumping, have also ordered a new rear casette, so while i was at it i thought i may as well replace the chainset.0

Should be ok then! I wouldn't ride it until the part arrives, as the chain will start to bd in to the old stuff.0

also forgot to say that my chainset does not have a chaingaurd0
