I watched Les Miserable the other week and was struck by how much the lovely Anne Hathaway with short hair looked like Louis Suarez. I shouldn't have been giggling away at that point in the film. My wife didn't appreciate the look-a-like.

Nominees for best supporting actress and best supported actor, I think both deserve an Oscar for their performances.

Anne Hathaway should get some sort of award for being so thin and not keeling over all the time. The size -2 body image is all wrong and imagine the millions of young girls watching Les Mis who think that skeletal is the shape to be.

At least Suarez has porage for breakfast. He need lots of energy to run like f**k and do a Tom Daley at the end of it. I can't see AH running like f**k, unless someone was offering her a slice of cake.

Um, you do realise that she is depicting a starving woman who has to turn to prostitution just to survive (and eventually dies as a result)? Rotund is probably not the ideal shape for playing that role - she lost the weight specifically for the role and has put it back on since.

Sorry, I thought that with the book being written about two centuries or more back and the musical having been out for 27 years it was beyond that stage
  • Why would a starving prostitute make Les Miserable - I'd be made up - she'd do anything for an eccles cake.

Apparently she has refused to say how she lost the weight, ie in a probably very unhealthy way, so young girls can't follow her.

Christian Bale is another actor who can seem to loose huge amounts of weight to the point he looks ill for a role.

Alright, alright smart 4rses. She has looked like that for ages. Long before starring in Les Mis.

Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway in the new porn flick "The bone bonk" Its about 2 skeletons screwing on a corrugated roof and its... very very noisy.

Some form of counter is required:

And here she is before the plastic surgery which was carried out in a clinic in Stoke:

Thus disproving the old adage "you can't make a silk purse form a sows ear".

So who's going to admit to crying?

I came close during "on my own" but then it's my favourite musical song and I have more than a bit of a thing for Sam Barks...

No, definitely not. That was sweat trickling down my face as the cinema was too hot. I'm hardly going to cry, it's just a film and I've seen the stage version on numerous occassions  Bring Him Home always gets me these days after it was used at the funeral of a family friend but it was Empty Chairs this time! Worst I've been though was in Blood Brothers, I'm not surprised that a Nolan Sister singing reduced me to tears but I hadn't expected it in that way.

I'm with you on Samantha Barks though!

Similarities there definitely. Only Freddie will ever sing We Are The Champions though.
