Shimano M575 Brakes. Air getting in the system?

Hi all

I've bought my tools and bled my brakes to the letter of the instruction. I'm using the the Shimano funnel too. So I've done front and back. When I get to the pumping of the lever leaving the funnel open, on the back brake, little air bubbles appear up through the funnel. They dont on the front..

I've left it for some time in case its air in the system and tapped the cables to release the bubbles (even though no air entered)

Yet still the tiny bubbles in the back brake??

Any ideas?

    I've emptied the brake oil, syringed it in from the bottom up. I've then opened the bleed nipple on the caliper to allow any bubbles there to escape. Then shut the nipple, depressed the brake lever and opened the nipple three or four times (funnel remains full of oil).
    Then shut the nipple completely and pumped the lever again for the bubbles at the top end. Thats where I am - there seems to be none stop tiny bubbles...
