Have just set up a casual and social road cycling group 'Wolverhampton South Staffs and Shropshire Cycling Group' ( none club). Rides are designed for keen amateurs with average speeds of around 15 - 17 MPH . If you're interested in joining the group please let me know. All the best - Andrew

Yes, there are several clubs in the town, but as mentioned this is a CASUAL AND SOCIAL group - set up on the British Cycling & Sky website with riders either having completed sportives or hoping to compete.

Well, actually the name's irrelevant as its only really an indicator where the group is based and will ride from for goskyride site reasons. We have, though, intentionally recruited some taller group members so that if we ever feel like a little promotion is needed the name can be incorporated up one bib leg, and down the other leg. ;-)

Sounds a bit of an over kill,

I'm a member of the Wolverhampton Wheelers and we usually have three groups in our Sunday Club Runs plus various Social rides/Training rides.

Here's our guide to the Sunday Club Runs, all are welcome and they don't necessarily have to be members: -

In addition we have regular Thursday night training rides, usually a couple of groups out on a Saturday, plus three nights a week at Aldersley Track supervised by qualified BC coaches.

There are a number of clubs in the area as well, so why the need for another?
