Crazy stuff, CRC/Nukeproof is a big team, but to leave spesh is a massive surprise, maybe he just wanted a change or more likely spesh wanted a younger, more competitive rider to fill in where they thought Hill would be. I can see Brook Macdonald on a spesh next year and even rumours of spesh trying to buy out Gwin from his contract...

I heard Sam signed for CRC because Specialized wouldn't give him a 26" wheel bike. They wanted their whole team on 29ers

There's rumours of bulldog changing to spesh this year, but yeah, totally didn't see this coming. It'll be weird not seeing him on a demo!

Don't know why everyone is so surprised, he's done nothing since 2010, he joined them in 2009 so was probably at the end of a 3 year contract, he also now has family commitments.

There's no shortage of young up and coming riders about (wonder what length of contract Danny Hart signed with Giant?).

He's not the rider he once was.

He took 5th place overall in the world cup this year and got on the podium twice, you're clearly talking rubbish...

  • it was a surprise for sure , hill has had a few bad years but is really coming back to form now and will be a big boost for nukeproof having a rider like him on there bikes good on crc looks like they are on the way to getting a good solid wc team again that might win races
