bought this a while ago was gonna do a cheap build with what i had but think it needs better so
frame dengfu fm028
dura ace 7800 chainset
dura ace 7700 rear mech
dura ace 7700 shifters
dura ace 7800 front mech
dura ace 7800 calipers
fsa k force carbon bars 42cm
fsa k force carbon seatpost
fsa os115 stem
selle italia turbomatic team edition carbon rail saddle
fulcrum racing 5 wheels
look sprint pedals

im not sure if im gonna keep the frame as it might be a tad to big im 5'9" 301/2" leg, seatpost looks low but ill decide once its built. first pic shows built with a shorter layback post and charge ti saddle.

Erm I think that's an FM028 not a FM015. You can tell from the head tube and seat stays. Nice components btw.

Google FM028 and then FM015 an you will see what I mean. The FM028 is a slightly more sloping/compact geometry based around a Trek Madone from a few years ago.

I can see its going to be a nice bike, hope you get to keep it.
That is large offset on than seatpost. It is fair to say you are going to need a bike fit after the build.

There's something not quite right about that...;)

Maybe the seatpost and stem should have been the last things to buy, and use some dirt cheap ones in the interim, to ensure you got the best bike fit without wasting money.

true but i bought bits to get similar measurements to my spesh ie saddle to bar length but as my allez is 52cm i have a lot more seat post but both have 535mm saddle to bars now the frame has a top tube of 540mm the allez 537mm i used a 120mm stem on the allez and 115mm on this.

Looks like it might be difficult to ride in it's current setup. Looks nice, though!
  • Like the bike, very nice.

Some lovely big red pressies in the pic's as well, all cycling related I assume.

I'd get an in line seat post maybe a 100mm stem. I'm 5"8/9 with 30" inside leg an I ride a 55cm FM015 and a 54cm Spec'Allez and the measurements are near identical to each other. If you do decide to sell let me know I'll buy it for my Dad.

Thanks :-) something tells me it will surprise you and you won't want to sell.
  • Bike is really nice for a riding bike as opposed to eye candy.

Only "looks" issue is the seatpost. Those curved FSA seatposts are ugly unless aggressively colour-coordinated like Connondale do, they're rank otherwise.

You need to carefully measure the fore-aft horizal lenght of your cockpit to see if you can get a nice looking post such as a Deda Drittissimo which is just a basic black in line post (and a light and cheap one at that).
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.
