Chainring choice - Superstar or Shimano

I'm looking at some new chainrings (currently have some race face), and seen that Superstar have sets on sale for either £37 (pressed/CNC) or £45 (CNC'd set).
I've also been looking at shimano's deore or XT rings, but they're obviously more expensive.
Are the superstar rings any good (and if so, which of the 2 is better)?
Are there any others I should be looking at?

What chainset do you have?0

shimano rings are made of cheese  well they may as well be !
CNC'd rings are usually better and made from stronger alloy.
The RaceFace ones you have are super strong...I got years of riding on one and finally changed it cos I got bored with it lol.0 -

I've got an SLX hollowtech 2 chainset.0 -
Shimano steel ones last for ages, I've been less impressed with their alloy ones. The SLX steel are quite a lot lighter than the Deore. However superstar don't have many misses and lots of hits and I'd be inclined in your shoes to give them a go.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
