This bike has an Acros Aix 03 headset which is IS 52 lower

Do I just need the 1 1/8 version of this

To use a non-tapered steerer fork?

don't know about that but Hope do a taper conversion spacer thingy for about £8, it fills the gap between a tapered crown race and standard steerer

yeah I've seen that and so do Cane Creek, but it is difficult to work out if these are generic or specific to their headsets/bearings. Suspect the latter which means you could potentially do some damage chucking the wrong one on.

  • Is the Hope part a crown race itself, or a converter that the existing crown race sits on top of?
  • Never mind, I found from an earlier thread that it is the latter
