    Just back from a quick 11mile through pirbright/ash ranges ,could believe how often I had to wait for the old man on his 26 er

    Lol he rides more then me ,Yeh I'm waiting to try my brothers spd's before I commit ,always used flats before .
    Any advice what to go for shimano or crank brothers

    Hi all PC has been knackered so not been on for while, had the bike a while now and it never fails to impress me from long road rides to going flat out through the woods.
    Mines a 18 inch and I'm 5ft10 I've changed to a shorter stem now.

    I have just bought the exact same bike for some xc racing & to Strava some better rides !!! I Have a specz stumper pro carbon which I love but I ride it quite soft coz I hammer the downhills round here which are really rocky & loose.
    Fancied some 29 action as a few mates on them, but like u say the spec is top notch for less than a bag of sand !!

    How you finding it ?? climbing & decending ??

    I just bought a yellowstone 5.9 29er 2013, cant fault the service, the bits and pieces that came with it, and the user manual that has more information than you need. I was a bit worried about buying a bike mail order but glad I did, if you read the manual it tells you the German Brakes are rear-right but they changed it around for us Brits and chucked in a bell??? (went in the admin pile.) My only regret was not buying a 6.9 but hey ho.
    Frame size i am 6'2" 90kg if you use their calculator I think it might be suited for 26" wheels, I bought the Medium 18½" and fits me brilliantly.
    You get a invoice with bike, box, p&p free bell. Included in the bike, is the shock pump and torque wrench but its not in the invoice so don't panic.

    I received my Yellowstone 6.9 29er early in march this year and I love it.
    Hype nowithstanding the bike does everything well. It makes climbing easier, descents are more stable and less jittery. I found the brakes fine, so long as you take the time bed them in. It took me a while to set the right F/R wheel air pressure and fork settings dialled in, but now that I have, I don't want to change a thing. The Canyon online sizing utility was perfect for me. Standing at 5'7" with an inseam of 78cm it recommended a size S. The effective top tube (ETT) distance of 550mm combined with the 70mm stem are perfect. The set up is comfortable and responsive. I did invert the stem so that it slopes down to lower the overall ride height and fiddled a great deal with brake/gear lever positions and angles. I'm been out almost every weekend for 30-35Km rides since I got the bike. I enjoy it so much that my Spesh roadbike has only been out once this year!     Very nice bike there sir, great choice ;)

    I was so close to buying the "Grand Canyon AL29", but decided to go for the Kinesis FF29 Frame instead, but the 29er option is certainly fast.... Happy riding!
