Trousers, if budget allows, endura eVent, nothing better IMHO. socks; sealskin merino midweight. Waterproof gloves - never found any I like, but the giro windproof ones are great.

Forget waterproof trousers, and get a pair of Endura stealth waterproof tights. Wear them over sealskins waterproof socks, and you can pretty much go wading.

No need to be afraid of your sexuality. Robin Hood wore tights and he got Maid Marion who was a hotty in the movie I saw. You don't have to play with the merry men.

He might actually want to play with Little John though. Perhaps that's what he's scared of.

They're really more like leggings, or wetsuit er, pants, I guess. Do they make such a thing?
Wear them underneath anything, to make you normal baggy shorts effectively waterproof.
Or, you could wear them under a tutu I guess. Whatever floats your boat.

Waterproofs are hot, if it's summer, just get wet.
