Bike security

So I read on forums that there is still a high percentage of bikes being stolen, where are people getting them stolen?
What security is best for home, public places etc.?

Do simple locks work just as well as high end security measures or are the high end bikes being targeted etc.?
Wanted: Cube Streamer/Agree GTC Compact / Pro/ Race : 53cm

    cheap locks easy to get off.!!!!!
    high end bikes first to get stolen.
    im lucky in that my comute doesnt involve leaving £2000 of bike locked to a post.
    guess thats why most bikes you see left like that you dont look at twice.

    get a great lock and a cheap comute ride, save the nice bike for pleasure rides

    I keep my bike in the office :p

    Never let it out of my sight when away from home lol.
