Help me identify some Campagnolo brakes

I need to replace the brake pads on a bike that I bought second-hand at the start of this year and I want to make sure that I get the right pads. The brakes are Campagnolo, presumably from pre-1995 as they don't have the model name printed on them. Links to some photos are below. Sorry for the poor quality - I can take some more with a decent camera tomorrow if necessary. Any ideas?

If it's around 1995, they could be daytona, the model before centaur

After having a look at this catalogue from 1994, I'm starting to think they might be Records (see pp. 9-10).

Pretty hard to tell from that photo - but the shiny steel bits indicate a lower groupset as Record would have titanium hardware. For pre-1999 the brake pads are the same anyway, Campagnolo part BR-RE600. You can also get aftermarket ones from Fibrax and Clarks - try SJS Cycles amongst others.

Thanks, Monty, that's very helpful about the pads.

I've taken some better pictures, along with some of the shifters and rear derailleur as I'd quite like to identify everything on the bike (thinking that I might sell it at some point, as it doesn't really get used since I decided that I was hooked on road cycling and bought a brand new bike). Again, the shifters look like the Record ones in the 1994 catalogue, as they're the only ones that say "Carbon" on them. Perhaps other models had that in other years though?

Could images of the cranks or front mech help?

    Could possibly be a 1994 C-record: http://campagnolodelta.blogspot.co.uk/2 ... parts.html

That image is from the catalogue I linked to above, which is what I think they resemble.

The cranks are much newer and hence have a group name on them - they're 10-speed Veloce. I'm not sure about the mech though - will take a photo of that too, when I'm home.

No problem! Actually, for some reason only the first page of the catalogue loads most times I click on it, so it's useful to have another version. Out of interest, what's the difference between Record and C-Record?

Here's the page of the catalogue featuring the Record groupset:

The C-Record btw refers to the Record groupset being available in 'Century' finish - a dark grey anodized finish that was offered for only two to three years. I think they were quite limited - apparently about 300-500 sets of these Record groupsets were shipped to the United States, god knows how many over here, not many I'd guess.

I don't think you're right - sorry. c-record went on for a good few years (I just double checked as I'm no expert on the older stuff). It's somtimes referred to as Corsa Record or just Record and was Campag's top of the range, last hurrah sticking to it's aero-design before getting swept up with the slant-parallelogram rear mech design and the Shimano arms-race. It's the time of delta brakes etc.

As for dating, I read that pre-1995, Campag didn't put the group names on the components so that bears out what the OP said.

On second thoughts, look like regular Record to me, circa 1994 judging by the shifters. I had a Chorus groupset of the era which was pretty similar. These could be the original dual-pivot brakes and only Record came with the hidden centre bolt - on Chorus it was exposed.
