Hi, this might not be the right place for this question, but I'm thinking of selling my Genesis Croix de Fer, and since it's been a little altered, I could use some valuation advice. This is NOT an advert, and just canvassing opinion.

Spec as follows:

* Standard Croix de Fer frame and forks (725)
* Wheels - Hope ProII, Magic Open Pro, DT Swiss
* Tyres - Rubino Pro (c. 300km)
* 105 cranks (2012)
* Tiagra shifters 9spd
* Deore rear mech with 11-32 cassette
* Deda Zero 1 stem
* Easton EA30(?) seatpost
* Shimano cable discs with new pads and Teflon cables. XT front disc (new) Magura rear disc (not so new)
* Genesis shallow drop bars
* Cane Creek h/s
* Bonty leopard print gel bar tape (tres chic)

I think that's it. Please don't offer to buy it in the thread, it'll invariably get me deleted or something!

  • If I understand, the only upgrade are a pair of hope hubs... Am I right?
    So, maybe 600 pounds?

  • Wheels and crank are an upgrade, Tiagra 9 will limit upgradeability.

    I'd still say probably £600.

    For the sake of seven or so quid I'd re-wrap the bars in a neutral colour. Leopard print isn't going to be to everyone's (anyone's?!) taste. It won't get you more money but it may get more interest, especially if a potential buyer finds wrapping tape themselves daunting.

    It could also depend on how old the bike is and what sort of milage you have done? Also frame size.
