Seems to be confirmed that stage 18 will feature Alpe d'Huez twice; two TTs, one TTT, an evening finish in Paris (22.30) on the last day, plus four other uphill finishes incl Ventoux.

Not one for Wiggo.

    I think this confirms that you should give up watching Pro cycling.

    At what point should Froome have gone for it - when he distanced brad by 50m despite being off the back of the 4 leaders 2k earlier? Or on the final mountain finish when he might have taken 15 seconds tops with the TT to come?

    Let me have my fun. A little like when I attacked Jon Ginge, Il Prince and CP at Richmond Park top of the hill I was spent but I went Rambo for that brief moment. (Happened years ago).

    Wiggins wants to win the Giro. Fair play. If he's there or there abouts he'll have a podium finish at each of the grand tours on his palmares. Not too shabby.

    The Etape is a bit bizarre. Presume they have bitten off more than they can chew in the previous years so have scaled back.

    We will be in the Pyrenees and Alps for the key stages so get in touch if you want to experience it!

    there again, being the penultimate stage, it makes it a nice holiday - do the etape then watch the finish in Paris

    I see there's a stage finish in beautiful Saint-Malo, where I spent a very happy year back in my student days. I can see my and my bike hopping on the ferry for that one.

    Yeah. He's usually sh1te until everyone starts thinking he's done/unmotivated/no good without train/curse of WC jersey/fat - then he wins 5 stages.....


    It's going to depend on the finish and it could be a crash fest.
