currently running specialized spd mtb shoes but finding them really absorbant in the wet plus theres no strap over the laces
been thinking of upgrading to road shoes and pedals

i see alot of people running Shimano R540 SPD-SL pedals which seem fine for £25
but what do people suggest for shoes?

so far like the look of the dhb R1.0 for £45
or am i better off with the carbon version at £72

Any ideas?

The best shoes are the ones that fit properly so you can ride all day in comfort.

  • Above is right the shoes you buy must be comfortable. I bought the dhbcarbon when they came out and have not regretted it, they are an excellent shoe, but suggest you order a size up as they are onthe small side.
