Some of you may know that I write a cycling blog called My Bicycle and I. By way of further introduction, I am a professional magazine writer and photographer and do a lot of shooting for my blog. I thought it might be worthwhile to write up a post about how to shoot nice pictures of your bike.

What an interesting site. Have just spent around 2 happy hours reading through your essays, articles, reviews etc. whilst on holiday in Australia. I shall definitely be a regular visitor from now on!

Someone's got a nice fast lens going by the DOF on a few of those shots... 8)0

For those shots I was using a Canon 85mm f1.8 - a beautiful lens which, in my opinion, actually outperforms the far more expensive f1.2 L-series model.
