2009 trance BB size

I have a 2009 giant trance X5 (all original transmission) and have finally worn out the bottom bracket(significant play).I have been online for a replacement but have no idea what size/type to buy.I dont mind upgrading a bit(it is an X5),but could really do with some advice.The original is shimano octalink according to bike radar archive(giant website was no help at all).You can probably tell I,m pretty new to DIY maintenance so any help would be much appreciated.

It will say on the BB if you can get it out - or try and measure the axle length and bottom bracket shell width.0
