I'm a bit confused by the Categories and CX Bands for Cyclocross - as a beginner, am I allowed to enter any race or am I restricted to the lower C category?

I'm a BC member so I think that means I can do all but the Elite stuff - is that right?

Thanks and sorry for all the CX threads in here. I tried the BC and other sites but couldnt get an answer on this!

you can enter any race, according to your age group category, except those for elites only or inter-area championship races, which are invitation only. You dont need to be a BC member to enter anything, although it means you'll have to pay a sub on the day if you dont bring your membership card.

B/C category just means more/less points on offer for those competing in the series I believe...

The only exception to the above are the LVRC events for >40's vets, for which you need to be a LVRC member to enter as I understand it.
