Buying a new bike!

Now I know there is a lot of people who say "save up your money and buy something better" but I am dying for a new bike, my current bike is an Apollo Outrage. I got it as a hand down from my parent and now I am getting into mountain biking I want to get my own. I want a bike in the range of £150-£250, I know its not a lot but I am a student and this will be my first personal bike. I have been looking at a few from the Decathlon Rockrider's as I hear they are good bikes.

This bike is the Rockrider 5.29, it looks good for what I will be doing. I would like a full sus bike but on my price range I wouldn't get quality. If you have any views on the bike or any suggestions please reply.

That is the 2012 version, it looks better than the first but on the site it said that it isn't that available.
I may consider saving up but only if the bike is A LOT better!

Buy used....you'll get a much better bike for the same money, some patience and you'll have damped forks and hydraulic discs for around the £100-150 markCurrently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I just today bagged myself an 07 rockhopper for £200

Anything like this will be better than the aptly named "outrage" which is simply not a MTB.0 -
£250 would look to go used, just ask a load of Q's before you visit -as a lot of them are fooked or need servicing.0
