Having just trashed my 9 speed X7 derailleur, I'm thinking about replacing it with a X9 Type 2 which may help with chain retention. Given the chain and cassette need replacing anyway, am I correct in thinking that I can change 9 to 10 with just needing to additionally change the lever?
Am I correct in presuming that the chainrings will be fine?
