Setting preload sag on Carrera Vengeance

Just got my wife her first MTB, a Carrera Vengeance.

I have been trying to set the sag on the front forks and even with the preload adjusters fully on minus the forks hardly sag at all?

I have asked her to balance on the pedals and lean forward a bit but still not much movement.

Am I doing something wrong?

    springs too hard.

    what is the fork?

  • SR Suntour XCM, just the standard fork that came on it...
  • If the fork is coil sprung and has a preload adjuster on top of each leg, then remove one of the springs. I prefer to remove the RH spring.

This can be done by using a hex socket tool or a spanner to carefully unscrew the cap that forms part of the adjuster.
