    Interesting how a short climb like Barhatch through its steepness can cause a massive shatter in the group. Especially with small teams.

    Well doesnt the stage finish on guildford high street? There is a very short but fairly steep cobbled section of the high street, i dont know if Cav can take that. Rob Hayles 'certainly wouldnt bet against him'. I'm not so sure, be nice to find out though.

    Another great stage and a good advertisement to get more racing in Britain. Cav gets the final stage and JTL wins the ToB :)

    Great finish by Cav. Another chaotic Sky lead out but didn't matter with his speed and ability to position himself correctly (well more often than not...)

    Excellent stage. Biggest and best ToB ever imo. Great that we finally have a British winner-but such a great shame that Endura aren't going to be in the peloton next year. They have been brilliant in this race-along with sky, they've bossed the peloton.

    What a great edition of the Tour of Britain - the best ever? Great racing, huge crowds, a perfect microcosm of British weather (i.e. everything!), stunning scenery (especially yesterday's Devon stage) a British winner in JTL and Cav taking the final stage in the rainbow bands.

    Great finish from Cavendish, even if the opposition was hardly stellar.

    JTL doing what a lot of people expected but impressive all the same. Rode not only a strong race, but also quite a smart race.

    Overall a pretty good race in my opinion.

    Great ToB this year, and couldnt have scripted it better - British winner, Cav to win last stage in last race in the bands - and crowds to rival any WT race.

    On subject of WT..surely ToB has got to get a jump up in status...?

    That would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for all the domestic teams.

    I know, that's the downside...but I think Mick Bennett wants it to get higher status. The domestic teams would still be eligible for invites, but clearly less of them would be in.
